My son the gymnast and more

Yuri has expressed some interest in taking tumbling-gymnastics. So we checked into it and got him enrolled.

He is a Natural gymnast. The teacher was a little worried that he would be behind since it started about 6 weeks ago, but he is good. He has great form. I love that he has found something that he likes and is good at naturally that makes it even better.

School is in full swin for both of the kiddos. The amount of homework Yuri has is over.whelm.ing
I think that 2- 2.5 hours each night is crazy. He is doing some beginning algebra of course he doesn't know that is what it is, but I don't remember doing these things until 7th grade, and he is in the 4th.

Yin loves school. She is doing well also. There was some debate about her name at the beginning of the year. I realize that YES my kids name is 10 letters and a hyphen, but that is her name. Yes, I want her to learn to write it. Do I mind if people shorten it and call her just the first part. No, but please teach her to write it all. She really enjoys riding the bus. It is so sweet to see her little 4 year old body get on the bus.

I am currently getting my teaching certificate to sub. at the schools. It will fit nicely into my schedule and the kids, and will hopefully bring in some Christmas funds. Yin will have to go to daycare 1/2 a day when I work, but I will be off when they are off. That is important to me. I can work as much or as little as I want. So I won't feel overwhelmed by work and home. I really enjoyed when I worked 16-20 hours a week. It was nice to have so me time.

The Ukraine's loss is our gain. I can't wait until the 2020 Olympics when Yuri takes the gold. And congratulations on pursuing your teaching certificate. You will be a great teacher.

Thanks! I will just be a substitute but I think I will enjoy it.

I agree I can see the story now Ukriane will probably try and get him back.

That's the real reason why they allow them to have dual citizenship, so they can recruit them for the gymnastics team. :)

That kid is a natural at everything he does. He rocks, seriously.

And too cool on the teaching cert; will fits your talents and your needs perfectly.
