IT'S A BOY!.... Finally

Well after a C-section my nephew made his grand appearance into the world.

He was born at 10:00pm and weighted 7#8oz and was 19 inches long. We had a pool and I guessed 7-7 and 19 inches. I think that I am the closest, but we never said what the winner would get...

He has red hair and bright blue eyes.

His poor mama and daddy are very tired (as is his Aunt Brando).

I will e-mail pics and name info to Pilot-Needles and Ragged-Cynical tomorrow when I get to see him.

I am trying to come up with a blog name for him carrot top would be to cruel.

Where is my nephew??/

That little turd has yet to make his appearance...

7 am - patosin drip
10am - break water
1pm - 1st epideral (yes she had two huge needles in her spine)
2pm - catather
2:30-4:30 huge contractions at 2-3 mintutes apart- epideral not working...
5:00pm- realize epideral not incorrect and redue.

9:40- going to have to do c-section. No progress and baby heart rate in danger.

I know that most of the above are misspelled, but I am nervous and kinda sick to my stomach.

Who's coming and who's going?

Well my Rudy left me today. I have to admit that I become very overwhelmed when he has to go on these business trips. I did not sign up to be a single mommy to two little ones. Single Mom's deserve an award! Well all mom's deserve an award maybe not me, but being a Mom is a hard job.

Rudy is expected to be in Baton Rouge around 4 or 5 this pm and my parents are in New Orleans this week also, so the help that I would have had there is gone. I have to admit that I am not very good at asking for help. I figure that I brought these kids into our family. I need to be responsible for them. If you see in the paper, Local woman goes crazy and drives off a bridge. Please check to see if my kids are okay. Now on to better news...

TODAY COULD BE THE BIG DAY!

I am taking Meg meg to the hospital today..... Attention Birth talk coming up.... They are going to put cream on her cervix to soften it and keep her overnight. The doctor indicated that there is a 10% chance that this will make her go into labor. So most of the other things will start in the morning breaking water, patosin (sp?) drip and such so... I think that the baby will come tomorrow.

This will be the frist newborn that we have ever had. I have a step neice and nephew, but they are older so it is not the same, and they do not call me Aunt Brando or anything. There mom .... well that is a post for a complete different day...

I will keep you posted. Meg meg says that she wants me to be there for the delivery, and that makes me excited and nervous!

Almost "Aunt Brando"

Today I went to the quarry with my friend J. She is a SAHM but cleans houses and does landscaping in her "spare" time. She has really helped our yard look much better.

So as she and I dug through the rocks. Yin was running around like a WILD woman. She kept picking up small rocks in her little hands and trying to set them in the back of the truck. I am not sure how many she got in there. We got some very large size stones and within 45 mintutes. We had loaded 1600 lbs of rock in the pick up. We drove the four miles to her house and got rid of 2/3 of the rocks and I brought the rest home. Rudy will have to get some of them out!

I felt like Fred Flintstone digging in the rocks. Of course there were some really nice sized rocks that we could NOT get, but maybe Rudy can...

We went to check out and the owner Haywood (real name) is about 90 and I have to confess that I have a little crush on him. He said "Wow I never guessed you girls could load that much rock. That will be $32.00." Yes, it was that cheap! The rocks are only $.02 per pound. If you have ever bought rocks you know that most places charge at least $.10 and sometimes alot more.

Well of to the outside to see where my beauties will go.

Real House Wives of Lawrence COunty

Somehow the other day I got caught up in a Marathon of the Real Housewives of Orange County. The show followed five different women and their families over a period of time. Suffice to day that Orange county is a long way from Lawrence County.

These women were in the late forties. I couldn't really tell. They all had Huge boobs. I am sure that they were not real, and 60% of them were blonds. Nothing against blonds, but there was a lot of bleach involved. It is amazing to see the contrast in their lives and my life. 3.4 million dollar homes, 60,000 cars, let me treat myself to a piece of jewerly 20,000. Well, Hey I deserve it... One lady bought her daughter her first piece of expensive jewerly $3500 earrings!

I feel bad for buying myself new shirts at Kohl's when they have buy one get one free.

One thing that you could see is that most of these ladies were hard working. Most all had jobs outside the home. They spent a lot of time working. A few of the kids were bratting rich kids, but some of them seemed to be giving some value to money.

It is hard to teach kids the value of money. Yuri often inquires how much he has in his savings. It is a modest sum, but we work hard to put money back for him and Yin. We have really tried to let him know how expensive this Disney trip is going to be and he has been saving and offering to eat at home instead of going out. If you ate my cooking you would know that this is a sacrifice for him. He He.

In other news, all of my shows seem to be ending in the next three weeks. This makes me kinda sad. 7th Heaven (don't make fun of me I love this show) has it's final episode next Monday. It has been on for ten years. Almost as long as Rudy and I have been together. My Gram loved this show. I remember her watching it during the day when she sat for Yuri and he could sing the entire song at the beginning of the show. On May 1, she has been gone for 3 years. It seems like just yesterday. May 1st is a sucky day all the way around. This is the 10 year anniversay of us trying to have a bio baby and altough I love Yin and Yuri more than LIFE and would NEVER trade them. This day still make me sad...

ON to happy news Yin has slept for four days in the toddlere bed. No nights, but hey my new nephew (not born yet 15 more days) might get this crib before he is ten! Way to go Yin!!
