Back on track

Well we are home from Disney. I can honestly say that we had the BEST time! Yin and Yuri had their moments, but all in all we had a great time.

Things I learned on vacation:

People should speak at least some English if they are going to visit our Country. I know a little Russian and Korean.

People with scooters think they own the world.

People who travel with more than two kids are my heros. I saw a lady there with EIGHT kids. I would guess that they were ages 10-2. They dressed alike each day. It was amazing to watch them in action. Yin and Yuri nearly took everything out of us that we had!

It is HOT in September in Florida. Each day was over 92. It was HOT HOT HOT!

I LOVE people from Scotland. We met two very nice families. I could have listened to them speak for hours!

Laundy is no fun on vacation, but allows you to wear your favorite shorts more than one day.

A hot sweating vacation and walking 10 miles each day can help you lose those 5lbs that were stuck to my hind end.

A double stroller is great and horrible at the same time.

Something that really upset me is that as a child I was taught if a person is older than you, pregnant, or with a small child you should give up your seat on the bus. I am not sure at what point we stopped doing this, but It was very upsetting for me.
I hope to teach Yin and Yuri about giving up their seats!

I missed HOME!

Upon arriving home I received a nice box of goodies from dear ragged. I am so in love with these books!! Also I got a snuggly soft pair of socks. They are ummm ummm good and in my favorite color.... Blue! Thanks ragged!

Our house is a mess of putting things away and Halloween!

Get Down with J.O.B.?

Well as the latest member of the jobless wonders, I made an effort to remedy my situation. Today I applied for a job. It is part time 20 hours per week. I LOVE being home with Yin, but occassionally I feel like I cannot breath. I think that this will probably be good for both of us. I have very little time for myself, and I will get overwhelmed. I have days when I just want time AWAY and as soon as I am away I feel bad! I have mommy guilt.

I have located a sitter a Grandma down the street. I have known her for many years, but during the time I was looking for a sitter she was not taking kids. She has two adult kids and two grandkids. I think that she will be good for Yin. I have spoken with the families that she has sat for in the past and they love her. She watched their son from the time he was born.

They money is not great, but will be nice with Christmas coming up. We would also like to get a newer car next year and maybe with this we can afford to get what we would really like instead of settling for something okay.

Keep your fingers crossed, I am not sure what direction to cross them for. Job or no Job?

Farewell

We got news last night from Ed that a fellow Geocacher was killed in a motorcycle accident. We had the pleasure of meeting this guy last year, and he was really a joy to get to know. I know that he had kids as his daughter was at the event.

Please watch for motorcycles. Farewell Sysop...

Packing & Smacking

I can't tell you how much I am ready to go on our trip!!! Since I am an Orginization Freak I have everthing planned and ready to go. Well as planned as I can be with Yin and Yuri.

Last night we started the dreaded packing. I HATE to pack. Rudy will throw three shrits in a Wal-Mart bag and be ready to go, but I have to pack for Yuri, Yin, and myself. So last night I was telling each person what to get and Rudy was standing behind me with a very confused look on his face. I think he was trying to offer support, but clothing is NOT his strong suit. In no time I was being to stressed out. There is so much stuff to pack especially for Yin. In no time at all I was ready to blow!!

Rudy is a very smart man, but for some reason he cannot pick out clothes. I hang clothes together, but for some reason he seems to get the green shirt and pink pants. OH Well, We are 85% packed, and ready to go!

---------------------------------------------------------------------

In other news, I went to get a hair cut. I have not been at all pleased with my hair lately. I showed the lady a pic, and I am pretty sure that she cur it like the pic below the one I picked out. It's not too bad, just a lot shorter than I am used to. She waxed my eyebrows and I feel human again! I was being to look like a scary bush woman with one brow!

ONLY 4 MORE DAYS!

Things have been stepped up into high gear! I have been doing the last minute wash, and I hope to start packing tonight. Yin is probably going to have two suitcases little girls need lots of stuff, diapers, wipes, cups, diapers, shoes, hair ribbons, diapers, shirts, pj's, diapers... Okay you get the idea.

Yuri is having his 1st social studies test on Friday. I have been helping him study. It is about communities. He is doind very good in school and so far has got an A+ on each spelling test. He is a much better speller than his momma. I have been trying to teach him times tables. He has finally grasped the idea that 3 X 4 is 3 fours (or four threes). He is adding them in his head and telling me the answers. He is such a smart boy. (Gets it from his mom)

Well better go see if we all have enought clean undies :)

A time for everything

Well the prisoner has been caught and is now sleeping in her toddler bed. Her new crib converts to a toddler bed which was nice because she was already confortable in that bed. The first night of the toddler bed was horrible. She was up from 1:30 until 5am. Ugh. She would run into our room and then I would take her back to her room. Sometimes I would leave letting her know it was bedtime. Many times I would lay on her floor for a while and then try and get back to bed.

She was exhausted all day. We were all on edge from being so tired. Saturday was just a horrible day. What a way to start our long weekend.

Saturday night she slept all night in her bed and it was so nice to sleep. Last night was the first night that she came into our room calling for me, but Rudy got up and put her back to bed. She was still laying in bed when Yuri was getting ready for school even though she was awake.

One good thing is that each time she thinks she has to get up she tries to bring all of her stuff with her. Three blankies "pinking", her pillow, a twinkerbell pillow case aka tinkerbell, her stuffed bear, and a glow worm that plays music. Rudy said if we keep adding to her stash it will slow her down enough that she will just stay in bed. I am not so sure. She will probably just start loading it all in her stroller and bring it in our room.

************************************************

Do you ever feel restricted by your own blog?

Anyway on to something else.

************************************************

We leave for Disney in just 10 days! I am ready maybe sometime away will be good for our family. I can't wait to see the looks on Yuri and Yin's faces. Yuri cannot fathom the size od Disney. We keep trying to explain it, but its something you just have to see to believe.

Upon our return, I am sure that we will be starting with our halloween decorations.

*************************************************

I have signed up for some scrapbooking classes through one of the local colleges and scrapbooking stores. It will met 4 nights in October. I am very excited to be doing something adult. I wish I had someone to go with me, but Rudy says "You make friends anywhere. Why are you worried?"

**************************************************

Yin's new saying is "Hush It Parky!". I think that I may have said that a few thousand times this summer at my mom and dad's dog. It is very funny to hear her say it. It is all ran together like "hushitparky" So it could sound like something naughty.

**************************************************

I was very upset to hear that Steve Irwin was killed on Monday. I really enjoyed watching his show, and while I thought that he was crazy occassionally. He really seemed to love his job. I realize that many people were very upset when his was feeding a croc while holding his young son, but I am not going to pass judgment on that. My parents rode me on a horse at that age and while that is not exaclty the samething. YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN. I got the feeling that he really loved his wife and his kids. It saddens my heart that his kids are the same age as mine, and I cannot imagine life without Rudy.

Money wise, I am sure that they will be okay. It is great that Terri will have so much video of him, but those poor kids. How do you explain that tragety to a two year old? Yin already askes to see all the people in our family.

My heart just hurts.
