Siruis Radio with Hall & Oates

I have to admit that I love Hall and Oates. Their music makes me happy each time I hear it. It is great to sing along with. It just takes me to a happy place.

Since Rudy brought me the Sirius Radio for my b'day I have to admit that I am HOOKED. I can progam in favorite artists or songs or both. I love that surprise beep to hear Fall Out Boys' Sugar, Were Going Down..., Rob Thomas' Ever the same, and Hall and Oates!

It is amazing how often H&O beep in. I cannot think of a single trip to even Bridgeport where they are not beebing in. Mind you I don't have to change over to them, but I find it impossible to not push the button! I think that Rudy is getting a little burnt out on the H&O, but Yuri loves to clap along with Private Eyes and sing with Your Kiss is on my list!

AAHHH! M-e-t-h-o-d O-f L-o-v-e ...

YIN!

Rudy and I have been discussing painting the living room for sometime now. Okay I talk about it and Rudy justs pretends to be listening while watching TV.

Today during Yin's nap I broke out the paint and began the job. I made sure to clean up the mess before she woke up. Yin came out of her room, rubbed her eyes, and said "Wow!" I guess she liked the new color.

As sat in the "new" family room reading on the internet. Yin came in and was looking at her hands. What's on your hands sweetie?

GREEN PAINT! Oh! How I love Yin, but sometimes on some days... She is too much! Her hand reaching ability has grown again...

Fingerprinting in our home

I sometimes have too much time on my hands and this must be one of those days. Today at 8:30 am as I was beginning my third load of laundry I had a novel thought.

I wondered if someone came into our home and fingerprintined it where would My, Rudy, Yin, and Yuri's prints be?

Yin's prints would be on EVERYTHING that is 3 feet or less including the plunger which I take away from her at least two times each day. However no matter how high I set it up she always is able to get it and that is just wrong!

Yuri's prints would be on most everything 5 feet or less unless you could push a chair up to it and then he would have even more range.

Rudy's prints would be on many things but I am going to focus on the things his prints would not be on. The washing machine handles-Rudy will change the wash from the washer to the dryer, but he doesn't seem to be able to start a load. He says that he doesn't want to mess up the colors, but I am not so sure. The toilet paper roll- We as a family of three toliet users and one who just loves to unroll the roll seem to use a lot of TP. Almost daily as I finish my business I notice that the roll needs replaced. Often there is a new roll carefully balanced on top of the old roll, but no one could put in on the holder? Rudy does instrumentation work for a living, but maybe this has passed him by... Finally Rudy's print will not be found on Yin's hair ribbons. She is like trying to wrestle a snake trying to put her hair up. Last weekend when we picked her up from NeNe and Papa How her hair was a mess. NeNe said "I never knew it was so hard to put hair in pigtails!" I said, "No problem." I doubted that Rudy or Pilot wore pigtails to often as kids. Although Pilot had really long hair about ten years ago. :)

My prints would not be found on any item that involves changing the oil or mowing the lawn. I enjoy mowing, but sometimes I hit stuff with the mower. :) Rudy might say my prints would not be found on the stove Hee Hee. Most of you know that I am a so so cook.

Where in your house would prints be found? It's something fun to think about!

On Solo Tour

Waylon & his willie are still here, but the boys have left the building!

Just picked Waylon up from the vet. He seems to be recovering nicely from his little operation. He has been running around the house like a WILD man. This doesn't appeat to have slowed him down.

Rudy better be nice or he might be next!

Yin's New Words

It seems that each day Yin is learning a new word and how to use it. Yuri will often say words and then ask Yin to say the word. Some of the best are purple, yellow, dinosaur, and koala. She almost always complies.

Today:

Yin: eat
Mommy: Do you want to eat? ( Read somewhere that it is important to repeat what they say.)
Yin: Shakes head Yes
Mommy: What do you want to eat?
Yin: toat
Mommy: Do you want to eat toast? (Toast is a brand new word that we have never even practiced!)
Yin: Runs ahead of me to the toaster

She is becoming such a big girl. She still will only call me Mom and not Mommy, but I am not willing to give up my Mommy status for Mom yet!

He usually erally enjoys rides in the car. I am not sure if he will want to go at all after this. We keep updates posted!

Big Weekend!

This past weekend Rudy and I had or first alone weekend since before Yin arrived. We meet NeNe and Papa How at Hanson for the frop off. Yin went willingly, but Yuri cried a little as they pulled away. He vomited on the way down, but I am sure it was nerves. I was very nervous also. We headed back to Evansville. We went to several shops, but didn't get much.

I was wanting to look for clothes, but since I don't seem to like anything and nothing seems to fit right I gave up on this quickly. We headed off to the boat to meet up with somefriends. Right as we walked in there were going to eat. Talk about goodtiming. We all sat together and had a very nice meal. Next we went abroad the gamiling machine.

It was so SMOKEY Needles would have passed out. We did not stay to long. Rudy lost $40.00 and I lost $15.00 I had a hard time parting with anymore money than that.

The next day we met to retrive Yin and Yuri. Nene said that Yin slept very little. This is no surpise since she NEVER sleeps anywhere but at home.

Back to Evansville. Decided to buy Rudy a laptop instead of me getting a treadmill. So when my A$$ is as big as a battleship he better not complain.

Headed home for a quiet night. Watched some Olympics, but will say no more on that subject! GO UKRAINE!

Happy Heart's Day a little late!

I must admit that I am somewhat mechanically challenged it took me a few days to get my pics posted. Dear Rudy stopped and brought me home these beauties on heart's day. He knows the perfect flowers to get me! I love carnations, tulips, and lilies. He also got me a card and sent an e-card. I Love you, my sweet Rudy! Since my coworkers are limited to my mulitple personalities we take turns enjoying the flowers. He is going to get me another present. I am pretty sure that it is a treadmill since we have been reserching them for a month.

I bought him an Illinois State Geocoin. It is a beautiful coin that looks like a penny. I will try to find a pic!

Oh! I also shaved my legs!

For Christmas I asked for only practicle gifts from NeNe and Papa How. Much to my delight I was blessed with Kleenex, Bleach Pens, Fabric Softener and the likes. I also asked for a new razor. I told NeNe the perfect on to get. It was in a pink package Venus Vibrance. As I sat in the tub preparing to shave I opened the package when out popped a battery! Battery? what is this for? I popped it in the razor and BZZZZZZ! It began to vibrate! I giggled for quite sometime thinking how Samantha on Sex and the City would LOVE this razor. I shaved my legs that was all I was willing to risk at the time.

Leaving Yin and Yuri Overnight ??

This weekend Rudy and I will be embarking on our first solo night since December 2004 work Christmas party. He won a trip to Casino Aztar for a Sweethearts weekend. We have never been there and I have never gambled ever. I am excited to do some shopping the in the area.

We have never left baby Yin with anyone overnight. Much of this has to do with the fact that I am CRAZY. I hate to leave my kids with anyone overnight. I worry all night about whether they can sleep, do they miss us, are they scared, will someone hold them if they are scared, and are they still ALIVE. Told you I was crazy!

The other main reason is that Yin HATES to travel she loves to see Nene (pronounced KneeKnee) and Papa How, but at night she makes noises like a Wookie at a funeral just ask Aunt Needles who gave her this title! Last trip she ended up sleeping on the floor becuase she would scream bloody murder each time I tried to put her in the crib.

Nene says she will just let her run around until she passes out, I have the feeling Nene could be up with her ALL night. Yuri however, will ask to be put to bed by 9pm. What's wrong with that kid! He actually askes to go to bed. I can assure you that Rudy never asked to go to bed as a child.

Wish us luck we will need it! Nene and Papa How (as Yin likes to now call him) will probably need more luck than us!!

Van Halen -Sammy

I have to admit that I love the Siruis radio that my dear Rudy purchased for me. I love the Hair Nation Channel it has all my favorite Bands with Big Hair: Def Leppard, Warrant, Poison, Night Ranger, Firehouse, Van Halen, Kiss and tons of others!

I can honestly say that in the past I have thought that I only like Van Halen with Sammy Hagar. I can now positively say that this is true. I hate to be disloyal to all the "Original" Van Halen fans, but I HATE David Lee Roth. His songs sound like CRAP! Okay I secretly love Panama even though I know none of the words it is just a great song to get a speeding ticket to.

Okay. I am ready to be blasted, but Sammy's the BOMB!

One Scoop or Two!

Today we cleaned stalls at my mom and dad's house. Since my dad has just had open heart surgery a little over a month ago he was not able to assist. Which was probably good anyway because all he likes to do is complain that we scoop horse sh*t wrong!

Most people would think that this is a horrible task but after 20 some years it really isn't that bad. The smell has long since stopped bothering me and my clan. My brother and I take turns bad mouthing each other all the while we keep telling my mom that she is not helping. We really won't give her the chance we are much younger than she is plus she does all the weekly chores for the horses. My momma is one hard working gal. I remember Ramblin saying that my mom is the only person he knows that can sweep a perfectly clean floor and get a dustpan full of dirt!

We let Waylon our new puppy run free and the barn cats beat him up. He is a 32 pound boxer and is much bigger than those cats, but they are FIGHTERS not lovers.

Yin stayed inside and took her nap. While Yuri ran all over the barn like a wild man. He is not yet old enough to master the proper poop scooping technique. We made Rudy ride the 4-Wheeler so he did not hurt his back . My brothers gal is due to have a baby boy in May so we did not let her help at all. She checked in with Yin and kept and eye on Yuri. The thing that I love the most about her is that she will let me molest her pregnant belly. Since Yin and Yuri came from the stork this is something that I missed. I will often talk into her belly to tell Mason (baby's name) that I can't wait for him to be born and please kick if he can understand me. No kicks so far, but maybe soon.

It was really pretty outside with the snow falling and the horses playing in the snow blowing and snorting around. It kinda gives you a peaceful feeling.

Jury Duty

As some of you might know, on my b'day I receicved many nice gifts and such from all the gang. The latest being Sirius Radio from my sweet Rudy. After I changed stations constantly with the remote for 3 hours he may have wished that we didn't get it.

Anywho.. On my birthday I also got a summons for jury duty. So yesterday, I packed up Yin and took her to the sitter for which I pay $20 a day, but it is SO worth the price. I arrived at the Court House looking my best. Hey, I haven't worked for 3 months I rarely get dressed these days just to clean house. I took my seat in the assigned area and watched the people filter in sitting at least a seat apart. I find it interesting to see how people place themselves in group settings. Then to my surprise my best friend from High School shows up. Yuri and her oldest are in the same class, but we rarely see each other without Yin and her youngest. This was a nice time to catch up.

The clerk informed us that we would make $15.60 a day plus milage mine is 20 miles round trip. So far I am in the hole!

Then they called us up in groups of 14 to question us. Of course I was in the first group and got picked. I can honestly say I didn't mind this, but on the other hand I hate to be away from Yin. Crazy mom logic want to take a break miss them 10 minutes after they are away. Who knew?

We began our trial for domestic distrubance and criminal trespass. Neither of which are very big charges. We went thru one witness and one police officer and then the prosecution rested. The Judge decided it was time for lunch. We went to a near by deli for lunch my cost $7.00 for a sandwich, salad, and drink.

We the people returned sharply at 1:15 to find that the individual had changed his plea to GUILTY so we were all excused. We do not have to report back next week! No jury duty for one year! In my mundane life of diapers and the wiggles this was a nice break.

Babysitter - $20
Jury pay +$15.60
Lunch +$7.00

Wow I came out on the good side and got to do my civic duty!

Little House Lotta Memories

A few weeks ago Rudy and I decided to upgrade our Dish Newtork Package. One of the main reasons is to get the Hallmark Channel (for Me not Rudy). Three times each day the Hallmark Channel airs Little House of the Praire. I have to admit this is my very favorite show from my childhood.

I remember coming home from school and watching this show each day telling my mother that I had NOT seen the episode only to tell her how it would end twenty mintues from the ending. This show triggers so many memories from my childhood.

I remember wishing that I could go to Walnut Grove and race Bunny against Nellie. I knew that I could beat her since I had been riding since I was just a year old. I could not wait for Nellie to walk into the creek and me attacked by leaches, this was from the books. I can't remember if there was an TV episode for this. I remember crying when Mary went blind. I should remember it was only a few weeks ago that I cried when the light went out. Most of all, I remember hoping that someday I would met a man like Almonzo and he would have a special nickname for me and I would have a special name for him. He does and I do.

Each time I watch an episode I think of my Gram. She loved to watch this show with me as a child and also as an adult. My Gram loved Little House and praire times so much that she bought bonnets and she would were them everywhere. We would get some pretty stange looks and then we would get in the car and giggle like little kids. I am sure that people thought that she was crazy and I was doing some noble service in taking this crazy lady to Wal-mart.

She taught me so much to look outside the box and and to laugh really laugh at myself. Sometimes for fun I carry a Ninja Turtles lunch box as a purse, I wear my hair in low respectable pig tails to work, and high fun pig tails other places, I will wear crazy shoes that people wonder where I got them from, but the thing that I wear the most that drives people crazy is a sock hat with pompoms that hang down on the sides. I love this hat!

I read Ragged today and her hat wearing episode. I got to smile and think that I am sure they have bonnets in Heaven (and hats with kitty ears). She would have loved that hat. I only hope there is someone there with my Gram to giggle with after the people give her crazy looks.

Sleeping Cramped in a Kingsized Bed...

Yesterday was the one year anniversary of our dear baby Yin arriving from Korea. It has been a very busy Year, and Yin really keeps us on our toes. We are so very blessed to have her with us!!

We put Yin and Yuri to bed last night and retreated to our room to watch TV. Yin's room is right off the living room so no TV watching in there after 8pm. At 9:30 Yin woke up crying the cry that no parent or anyone else for that matter ever wants to hear. Rudy went to get Yin. If you cry hard for 5 mintues someone is getting you. That is our house rule.

She came and got in our big bed and was happy as a pig in mud. She began singing her favorite song "NoNoNoNo..." BlackEyed Peas, Don't Lie, all she knows is the "NoNoNoNo" part. Then she started asking for NeNe (This is Rudy and Ramblin's momma) We called up NeNe and Yin actually talked on the phone!

10:15 back to bed. Her bed!

2:15 Rudy gets called to work. Yin had been fussing on and off for a while, but nothing to warrant the 5 mintue rule. At 3:15 the rule applied. I went to get Yin and let her sleep with mommy. It is a king size bed, surely these two bed hogs me & Yin could sleep together.

Yin slowed made her way to my side of the bed and I finally dozed out around 4:00 with our foreheads touching. In 13 years of marriage, I can safely I DO NOT like to be touched in my sleep. I am not sure why? However, for some unkown reason I can sleep with a 30lb baby almost on top of me with no problems.

In the future, I pity the person that gets Yin becuase she is her mamma's baby a Super Duper Bed Hog!

Now we will all come to order....

I have to admit that being a stay at home mom is much more difficult than I first imagined. Please don't misunderstand I LOVE to be home with Yin everyday, but she is a MESS maker.

Everyone who knows me will say that I am a little odd. I like order. I guess it is becuase I grew up in a house with ALOT of cludder. ( Had to leave for a moment Yin pushed the call button on the phone and it sound like an electronics store in here)

A few things that drive me crazy in my own home, cludder doesn't bother me in other homes.

- Excess papers on the desk that NEVER go away. I clean our desk at least once a day, but the papers are always there

-Laundry I think that it gets in the hampers and breeds. We keep seeing new baby socks that never have mates. You would think they could breed pairs.

-My Closet- I like my clothes to hang in groups tee-shirts, sweat shrits, and such and then by color starting with Gray and ending in Red. ( I realize that I am very anal).

-Rudy(they call hubby this at work not sure why, but that's what I'm going to call him) refuses to put his socks in the hamper. I Love that man, but his sock issues drive me CRAZY.

-TOYS, TOYS, TOYS, I realize that kids like toys, but my kids have WAY to much stuff! Yin is forever dumping every basket, bin, or box in sight.

-DVD's that jump out of there cabinet and lay all over the place. I know that they are jumping out becuase no one ever takes the credit when I say "Who got this movie out?"

Things I like to so to get order.

-Move my furniture. I love to move the furniture around. I would do this weekly, but Rudy always complains "My mom never moved furniture. She would just clean and move it back." I love Rudy's mom, but I am not sure why this should effect my furniture moving. Personally I think he is afraid that I will move something and he will fall in the middle of the night on a peice of furniture.

Watch Clean Sweep. That show always puts me in the cleaning mood. Rudy almost cries evertime he sees it. He knows he's in for a long day of cleaning.

Have Yin take her nap. This is the short time during the day when things are not always a mess. Plus she looks like an angel when she's asleep.

Now that I feel better. I need to go and pick up the 19 things that Yin has drug out while I was typing this
