Trouble with Tribbles

Okay. This is my FAVORITE episode of Startrek. I also loved it when DS9 went back to this episode and had to interact with members of the original cast. The thing about why Worf looked the way he did "We don't talk about that" comparing the way Klingons looked in the 60's episodes always makes me laugh.

Why is she posting about this you ask? Because I think that my laundry has turned into Tribbles! Each day there is another hamper and another and another until today ever hamper that I own which is 5 was FULL of laundry and there was more laundry laying on the floor. I know you are all thinking that I am lazy and do not do laundry, but last Friday EVERY piece of clothing, towels, blankets, sheets, and coats were clean!

Can someone please explain this mystery to me?

Pilot, I will send you some money for you theraphy bill after yesterdays post!

And the Marrakesh Express keeps on Rolling

Yesterday as I was watching an old episode of Judging Amy the Marrakech Express rolled into town again.

I read Needles blog, but I had never heard the song. Pilot and I had a brief conversation about this Sunday or Saturday.

In this episode Peter was in the basement of the house acting like a rock singer on stage. "Well fans I wrote this one back in the day while I was at Marrakesh..."

I wonder how many more times we are going to hear this. Keep the train rolling if it should come along!

Seinfeld

This post is not for the faint of heart.

I really love Seinfeld and I often compare my life to different episodes. The past few weeks the episode where Elaine refuses to have "relations" with her soon to be doctor boyfriend. In this episode Elaine disovers that George has not be having "relations" and suddenly he is a genius, but the long Elaine goes without "relations" the dumber she gets.

The great thing about Seinfeld is that the don't stop as just funny they pushed to very funny. By the end of the episode Elaine harldy knew her name and George was the smarted man ever... then Elaines boyfriend passes the big test. They have "relations" and she is smart again and he is dumb again. George is scheduled to give a big speech but the "relations" hits him also and he becomes regular George again and gets lost on the way there...

What does this have to do with a hill of beans. Well if Rudy does not get off this crazy shift. He may win the noble prize while I will be trying to remember my name!
Hee Hee...

Now I would like to offically say sorry to all the people who actually read the whole post, but I feel much better!

Maybe tomorrow I will be smarter and know not to post this mess!

Trivia for the movie challenged.

Today Ramblin, Rudy, Needles and I were discussing the movie Trivia. Maybe each week one of us could come up with movie lines for the others. I will list my "offfical" trivia tomorrow, but her are a few...

1. "As IF!"
2. "Wax on, wax off"
3. "Big... Big... Big bear. Big bear chase me."
4. "Waaassss UuuPPP!"
5. "Fly her apart then!!"
6. "Shut up. Just shut up. You had me at hello."
7. "Fat guy in a little coat. Fat guy in a little coat."
8. "Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore."
9. "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn."
10. "K-Mart sucks"

Good luck. No cheating. These should be easy!

Strange Encounters at Stride Rite

Today I took fat foot Yin to the Stride Rite in Evansville for some new shoes. She wears an X-Wide! There were out of one of the pairs that I wanted and would have to order them and mail them to me.

The lady asked my last name...
"?!?" I replied.
"Oh, the same as the country singer." she replied.

What country singer I thought? Maybe a pop singer, but country?

"You know (Cynical's 1st name) ?!?" she said.
"His name was (insert correct name)." I replied.
"Are you sure?" she asked.
"POSITIVE." I replied.

This reminds me of a story. Rudy has some kin with a similar name and when this tragedy occured Rudy told me that some people had thought that his kin had passed. I have always thought that this was odd. Aside from a strange fetish with Star Trek
(which must be in the ?!? blood line) I would never have though this about his kin.

Now that all people in Blog land are very CONFUSED. I will move on to another confusing thought!

It's a Boy!

Six years ago we were sitting at our computer. We had just received the BEST e-mail ever. We carefully opened the first picture, and it did not work. We opened the second picture and there he was... Our beautiful baby boy. I remember saying to Brent. This is the one! This is our son!

He was wearing a little pink coat with the hood up and a babyhouse working was holding him up. He had the bluest-gray blue eyes with locks that were curly dark blonde. He stole my heart completly. We opened the next picture just to see, but we had already made up our minds. This little man was soon to be our little Yuri!

In the next few weeks we will have many more little anniversaries this is one of the best times of year around our house.

It is during this time that I think about his birthmother (and Yin's also) and the sacrifice that she made. I wonder if she thinks of him and misses him. I am so grateful to this wonderful lady who, due to circumstance beyond her control, was willing to make the hardest sacrifice that I could think of. I only hope that she can feel comfort in her decision, and know that we love him more than life itself. Angela you have truely given us the most precious gift! He is all the best things in the world and he has made me a better person!

Sickness has Hit

On Saturday Yin woke up with a clear runny nose. I thought that maybe she was cutting some two year teeth, but...

Yesterday it got worse and today we started the meds and breathing treatments in full force. Maybe her little body knew that the cold was coming. I have been pretty lucky since I don't work at the Doctor's office anymore she has been very WELL. I put her to bed last night and by 8:45 she was in bed with me and Yuri. All in all I slept very well. Yuri still rocks in his sleep. I am sure this is from spending 11 months in an orphanage and Yin likes to lay right on my head. I got used to that from when we had Sassy Cat and she would sleep on my head.

Today Yin took and extra long nap and woke in good spirits even with the runny nose and puffy eyes.I picked Yuri up from school and histeacher said that he complained most of the day about a headache. I wish she would have called I would have picked him up or taken him some tylenol. The school cannot even give a tylenol without a note from the doctor. Hopefully, he is not getting sick also, but I am sure that they will pass it back and forth a few times(right Farmwife).

As I type she lays in there fussing I will give her a little longer to fuss and then back in my bed. I can't stand to hear her cry. Today she didn't want to have anything to do with Rudy. Usually she is a daddy's girl. We are all out of sorts due to the crazy schedule.

Needles, bless her heart, was able to secure me and my friend Mei Mei's mom a few tickets for FREE to an upcoming cultural event about Korea and Japan! I am very excited to be getting out of the house. She called this evening, but I had to cut the call short because Yin was in such a fowl mood!

One week down and we are ready to have Rudy back. My life saver will be arriving on Thursday. NeNe and Papa How are coming! I have made myself a hair cut appointment in honor of their arrival.

Yin has been calling Nene and Papa How on her hand for the past week. It is very cute. She puts her hand to her ear and says "Hello...NeNe... Papa How... HoHo... Bye!" I am not sure why HoHo is always in there, but he is...

Well she is settling down... hopefully.

Big party.

Well Yesterday was the big party.

My dad, bro's girlfriend and I went to decorate on Friday. I took Ragged's advice and put some very pretty pansies out on the table. We put up balloons, and a few other small items. My bro's girlfriend gave Yin a sugar daddy on a stick and we heard nothing from her. I nicely told her that I don't allow my kids suckers or the like until they are 4 and will sit down and eat them. I hate suckers. Big Mess. My dad carefully watched Yin and the first chance we got we took the candy and replaced with something else. Anyway back on track...

My gram has been giving me Ruby glass from a very early age. I love Ruby glass, but my home is staring to fill up! I had decided to give her back some RG. She said just save it for a special occassion and then give it back. So I put some of the pieces that I was going to give her and put them on the table for added decorations. We warned the kids that if the broke the dishes we would be beating them. Hee Hee.

So for very little cost to me the place looked nice. We all said Happy Birthday to my Gram as she walked in. We didn't want to scream and give her a heart attack. She was very pleased the only person that wasn't there was my bro in Iraq and my cousin in the military (probably getting ready to go to Iraq).

Many people stopped in for a visit, and a nice time was had by all. I was getting ready to leave around 3. Yin had still not had a nap due to the timing of the festivities. My Aunt told everyone two or three times that I had done the decorating which was nice. As I was starting to leave she asked when I would be back to take the decorations down. I just kept loading up my stuff and took the few things that I wanted back, and left the rest of the stuff.

I guess she thinks that since I don't have a job I don't do anything all day... I am NOT going to let her ruin this day for me.

A small know fact is that my Gram's birthday is March 21, and my other Gram in heaven's birthday is March 20 so Happy Birthday to two of my most favorite people! I love you Grams'!

I have to say that as much as Rudy is not enjoying the long nights neither am I. In my whole life I have stayed by myself at night maybe 30-40 nights, and I was 33 in January . Almost all of those nights were while Rudy was on the night shift. I am a HUGE baby. My parents live only 100 feet from my back door, but anyone who know my family knows I get this from my dad. My mom fears nothing! Except maybe Yin...

When I was younger he watched Halloween and slept with the lights on for three days. Another time he thought aliens had landed in the field and sent my mom out to investigage. What can I say I get this honest. At night I become scared I hear noises, think I see people in the house and more. I usually start working myself into craziness around 9:00pm and by 12:30 I am still awake. Hopefully, tonight I can be brave... but if not I will just bid on stuff on e-bay.

I am finding that I do not enjoy being a single mom. It is hard to keep Yin quit during the day. I try to leave early in the moring, but today she was brushing her teeth and would not give me back the toothbrush. She ran off with the brush in her mouth. I tired to take it away, and the screaming tug of war began. God has truely blessed us with the most DETERMINED child in the world.

On to a happier note.

Well so far in my great exercise I have walked Sunday 1 mile, Monday 1 1/2 miles, Tuesday 1 mile, Wednesday 1 1/2 walk + 1/4 jog, Thursday 2 1/3 mile. I am not sure how far I am going tomorrow, but I have already lost 2 lbs, and my pants seem to fit better. No more laying on the bed, sucking my gut in, and doing a back bend... Okay I made that last part up, but they do seem to be fitting better. Maybe it's just all in my head.

Back Better!

Okay I am back and feeling much better. Thanks for th reply's. Farmwife I had no idea you lived so close someday I will bring my monsters over to play on the big farm. I'm glad that my family is not the only one's that are a little out there! Ragged you flower idea was great and I can bring them home and plant them or give them out as gifts!

Surprise, Surprise Party.

Today I got home from shoe shopping with Yin and my Dad and there was a message from my Aunt that the surprise party for my grandma's 80th B'day was going to be Saturday from 1-4. Surprise party! I was surprised. It seems that no one could call me, my mom or dad OKAY anyone in our whole family! I am really PI$$ED! Oh! and BTW I am supposed to do all the decorating! I am ready to blow up!!!!

I called my mom and asked about this she said "you mean they want you to buy all the decorations for ten tables and the rest of the building!" Now my mom and I are both mad. Table clothes can be bought pretty cheap, but times ten!

I waited a few minutes and called my aunt. She does not seem to understand that decorating would be the hardest job for me. I have to show up and hour early 12. Okay that's not only lunch time for adults, but Yin sleeps everyday from 11-1:30pm.
I asked why no one called me and she then informed me that it was in the paper! Then she asked if I would call my mom tell her about the party and let her know to bring Punch. I am pretty sure that I would like to Punch something...

Am going to stop writing now before my fingers type really really bad words!!! Please don't get me wrong I love my Gram, but those other people are some of the most inconsiderate people I know! Family can't live with them, Can't shoot them... or something like that.

Lets Get Physical

I have decided that since we bought this Laptop instead of a treadmill that I am going to start walking everyday.

Yesterday, My dad, mom, Yin, Yuri, and I loaded up and went to the local State Park for walking. They have a great place to walk and if you go around the entire lake it is a little over 2 miles. Some is very flat and other parts are really hilly, so you have the perfect combination for walking.

We walked a mile while Yuri rode his bike with his cool Power Rangers helmet which was a Christmas gift from Uncle Pilot and Aunt Needles. It was very nice the wind wasn't too bad and there was minimal traffic.

Today I wanted to walk again. Rudy and I sat out with Waylon and Yuri. We walked for 1 1/2 miles. It was really warm, and Yin was getting mad when the sun was in her eyes. Waylon started out dragging me, but in the end I was almost dragging him back to the car.

Tomorrow I will probably cut back to a mile and alternate this everyother day for a week. Then I plan to add more distace. I am hoping to lose about 10lbs, and then maybe some of my clothes will fit a little better!

If I had a whole day to myself!!

I often dream of things that I would do if I had an entire day to myself. I realize this may sound a little selfish, but sometimes...

1. Have a good sitter so I would not worry about munchkins.
2. Have my haircut, colored, eyebrows waxed, manicure and pedicure.
3. Shop at only the stores for grown up people.
4. Shop for myself. Maybe there are jans out there that I would like.
5. Find a pair of sandals that I love and stair at my new toes.
6. Eat a leisure lunch at a restraunt of my choice and not worry about the cost.
7. Go to a book store and get lost...
8. Find myself.
9. Remind myseld not to worry about kids.
10. Sing the wrong words to songs without getting corrected.
11. Take an hour long bath and pamper myself.
12. Break down and look at cute clothes for kids.
13. Watch chick movies...
14. Get lots of tissue.
15. Admire my "new" self in the mirror and tell Rudy how much I saved him buy getting things on sale.

Okay, I will quit complaining. Time to get back to reality, maybe I will have time to shave my legs today

Cleaning, Clothes, & Crap!

THIS IS NOT YIN, BUT SHE IS STYLING!

Last year my super bro-in-law, aka Pilot helped me to make a pic of Yin that is so beautiful and this reminded me of that pic!

Well I can honestly say that we have more stuff in our house and garage than three families need.

Yesterday I began the task of moving out the winter and moving in the spring and summer to Yin's closet. For a little girl that started out with so little Yin I can safely say will not have to wear the same outfit this summer and possibly next summer. I buy stuff on clearance from Gymboree, Garage Sales and a few other stores. Yin has a beautiful wardrobe. I only wish that I could say the same thing. She is going to be VERY hip!

I put things that I hope she can wear next winter in the winter basket. I put 4's & 5's in the next summer bin. I put clothes in the garage sale pile, and the used Gymboree in the stuff to sell on ebay pile.

Rudy and I have been thinking of a very special vacation for the munchkins. Maybe the millions I make on ebay will help with this.

Last night I dressed and redressed poor little Yin. Each time I would hold up a new outfit she would say "WOW"! I love that cute little voice!

Spring cleaning is in th!e AIR!

Sad News from Iraq

I have two brothers both are younger than me. My baby brother BeeOh(Yin calls him this)& My brother Choy(that is what I call him) is 30 and in the Army and is currently serving his second tour in Iraq. He has served in Iraq, South Korea (Yin's home county), Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bosnia & Herzegovina. I think that is all but not sure. He was awarded the bronze star on his last tour in Iraq for exceptional actions and saving the lives of others. He works in engineering-demolition aka land mine clearing. My brother is a GREAT soldier and I am VERY VERY pround of him. Each day I worry and wonder if he is okay, if he knows how much we love and miss him...

Yesterday my mom said that he was on the Instant Messager with her and that he was very upset. It seems that an Iraqy man approached him with his small son around 2-3 years old that seemed to be having an allergic reaction to a medication. They were out in the middle of no where. My brother and the man began to preform CPR. Others in the group radioed for help, but the small boy died before they could get help there in time.

This breaks my heart. Choy loves little kids. He is a little kid a heart himself. He loves to torment Yuri and Yin. He like me has been told that he cannot have bio children.

Keep my brother in your thoughts and remember all the soldiers everyday that allow us the freedoms that we have. Sorry for the gloom I seem to be unable to shake the helplessness that I feel it took me most of the night and day to be able to bring myself to write this down...
